Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Junior Data Engineer in London on a hybrid basis, two days in-office. The role focuses on developing software with Python, Go and TypeScript, processing live and historical sports data, and supporting cloud-based production systems.

The ideal candidate holds a technical degree and solid programming fundamentals, with knowledge of SQL and relational databases. You will work with AWS, Docker and other modern technologies to deliver real-world sport data

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or numerate discipline or equivalent.
• Strong programming fundamentals and problem solving.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software using Python, Go and TypeScript.
• Process, analyse and validate live and historical sports datasets.
• Support cloud infrastructure, applications and production systems.
• Write SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Troubleshoot software, data and infrastructure-related issues.
• Contribute to technical projects, documentation and system improvements.
