Job summary

Nomura in London seeks an Associate Java Developer to join the Rates Intraday Risk Technology team. You will collaborate with traders and quants to translate business needs into robust server-side APIs delivering intraday risk and P&L data.

You will contribute to platform re-architecture and modernization efforts, work across global teams (London, Tokyo and New York), and operate in a hybrid environment with a strong focus on Java, Spring and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experienced Java developer with Spring and lifecycle knowledge.
• Familiar with front-office tools and market risk concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders and quants to translate requirements into solutions.
• Develop and maintain server-side processes and APIs for intraday risk and P&L.
• Contribute to platform re-architecture and modernization from design to rollout.
