Job summary

Platinum Resourcing in Slough is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor for an ongoing long-term temporary role within a small audit team. You will plan and deliver audit assignments, review controls and identify practical improvements across the business.

The position offers hybrid working, with three days in the Slough office and two days from home, and a salary of around £45,000 per year on a permanent basis equivalent.

Qualifications

• Previous internal or external audit experience, ideally around three to five years.
• Financial services regulations knowledge would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Confident reviewing processes, assessing risks and identifying improvements.
• Good written communication and reports writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with senior colleagues.
• Highly organised and able to manage priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out audit assignments within agreed deadlines.
• Review business processes, identify risks and test internal controls.
• Assess compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
• Prepare clear reports outlining findings and recommendations.
• Recommend practical improvements to processes and controls.
• Follow up agreed actions and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate audit records and supporting documentation.
• Support audit planning, risk assessments and performance reporting.
• Work closely with colleagues across different departments.
• Assist with reports and information for senior management.
• Support the audit team with ad hoc projects.
