Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy charity finance team near Camden Town, London. The role is hybrid, 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, initially 6 weeks, paying £19-£22 per hour umbrella.

You will process supplier invoices, perform reconciliations, and manage payment runs while resolving supplier and staff queries in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong supplier reconciliations experience and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience processing high volumes of invoices and payment runs.
• Good accounting knowledge and understanding of AP processes.
• Excellent IT skills and confidence with finance systems.
• Proactive approach with ownership of workload and queries.

Responsibilities

• Processing ~100 supplier invoices per week.
• Completing supplier statement reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Preparing and processing payment runs.
• Managing AP queries from staff and suppliers.
• Investigating aged balances and following up issues.
• Communicating with suppliers regarding unreconciled balances and queries.
• Taking ownership of tasks and ensuring timely completion.
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day AP activities.
