Job summary

Bupa UK is hiring a Financial Reporting Risk Manager to oversee financial reporting, solvency and insurance risk across UK and global entities. This role offers hybrid working, with up to 3 days from home and locations in London, Manchester or Staines, and a salary between £58,200 and £75,000 per year.

• Qualified accountant or actuary with insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and Solvency II.
• Experience in audit or risk management within an insurance business or consultancy.
• Analytical with the ability to identify key actions quickly.
• Commercially minded with strong judgement and stakeholder management.
• Confident communicator who can influence and motivate others.
• Experience in governance, oversight and controls.
• Committed to delivering good customer and regulatory outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of financial reporting, solvency, capital, liquidity, stress testing and insurance risk activities across Bupa’s UK and global entities.
• Offer advice and guidance to Finance and Actuarial teams on risk management best practice including Model Risk.
• Support the Head of Prudential Risk with interpretation of PRA/IFRS rules and guidance; assist with SFCR, Report & Accounts, ORSA, AFH submissions.
• Develop and promote financial and insurance elements of the Risk Management Framework.
• Facilitate 1st and 2nd line risk management activities including RCSA and incident analysis.
• Deliver deep-dive assurance over strategic priorities, especially around financial reporting.
