Job summary

Thirteen Group is seeking a Housing Litigation Solicitor (Housing Litigator) to join our Legal team. You’ll handle housing-related matters and provide clear legal advice to colleagues across the business.

This hybrid role requires 2–3 days per week at our Hudson Quay office in Middlesbrough, with remaining time at home. You’ll support the Housing and Communities directorate and adapt to varying business needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with SRA accreditation or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of housing law, pre-action protocols and civil procedure.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing litigation support with effective case management and proper documentation.
• Maintain accurate case records, bundles, instructions and documents; ensure timely progression.
• Represent Thirteen in court proceedings and instruct counsel when needed.
• Provide legal advice and training on litigation, tenancy enforcement and related matters to colleagues.
• Keep up to date with housing law and court procedures to ensure consistency across teams.
