Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland invites graduates to join our Development Planning and Development Infrastructure teams in 2027. As a graduate, you’ll contribute to projects from feasibility through to planning consent, helping shape how places grow and connect communities, transport networks and the built environment.

Based in Cardiff among other UK locations, you’ll learn through a two-year development programme, working with planners, engineers and designers to deliver sustainable development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 in relevant degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Starting work September 2027.
• Interest in development, transport and infrastructure shaping sustainable places.
• Keen to learn about transport planning, active travel, layouts, drainage, utilities, roads and site infrastructure.
• Enjoy using data, technical information and problem-solving to support planning and engineering design.
• Clear communication and collaboration with planners, engineers, specialists, consultants, designers and clients.
• Curious, organized and motivated to learn, take ownership and contribute to projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Development Planning projects from early feasibility through to planning consent.
• Contribute to transport planning, access strategies, active travel and layouts.
• Assist Development Infrastructure work on roads, drainage, utilities and site servicing.
• Collaborate with planners, environmental specialists, transport consultants and designers.
