Job summary

West Pier Studio in Brighton and Hove, UK is seeking a Freelance 2D Artist / Illustrator (Mid–Senior) to craft game art for slot and casino titles. You will translate concepts into character designs, environments, logos and UI assets, while adapting to brand guidelines and multi-platform production.

You will collaborate with designers, developers and animators to ensure artwork is optimized and engine-ready, blending artistic vision with technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in 2D game art with at least one published title.
• Advanced skills in composition, color theory, lighting and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted workflows to boost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D artwork including characters, environments, logos and UI elements.
• Manage full production workflow from concepts to engine-ready assets.
• Maintain brand consistency and adhere to project art styles and guidelines.
• Optimize assets for performance across devices and screen sizes.
