Job summary

Johnston Carmichael is seeking a Financial Reporting Advisory Manager to lead statutory financial statements and complex consolidations for a portfolio of audited clients. You will mentor junior staff, engage with Directors and Partners, and help drive technology-enabled improvements across the department.

Ideal candidates are Chartered Accountants with UK GAAP and IFRS experience, proficient in CCH Accounts Production, Word and Excel, and with strong communication and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• Management experience overseeing a portfolio of companies in Corporate Audit.
• Qualified CA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with UK statutory accounts for audited (non-small) companies and consolidations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS familiarity.
• Experience with CCH Accounts Production is desirable.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage statutory financial statements for a portfolio of audited clients.
• Prepare complex consolidation models and financial statements using Word, Excel and CCH Accounts Production.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Financial Reporting.
• Provide high level technical advice to clients.
• Support Directors in advisory work.
• Manage and develop junior staff to achieve goals.
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
