Job summary

Butler Toll Financial Planners in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking a Financial Planner (Adviser or Trainee) to service an established client portfolio. You will focus on relationship-building, ongoing service, and developing technical knowledge in a supportive independent firm.

The role offers hybrid/flexible working (office 1–2 days weekly) and progression toward Chartered status as you grow your advisory capabilities.

Qualifications

Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent) is required.
Client facing experience in financial services or related professional services with a transition plan toward financial planning.
Excellent communication and ability to build trusted relationships.
Detail oriented, proactive and committed to compliant advice.

Responsibilities

Conduct annual client reviews and assess ongoing suitability of existing arrangements.
Provide advice on withdrawals, encashments and top-ups to existing plans.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high service levels.
Identify complex needs and refer to a Senior Financial Adviser as appropriate.
Collaborate with colleagues to service client needs efficiently.
Keep accurate, compliant records and ensure advice meets regulatory standards.
