Job summary

Strata is seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to lead the day-to-day finance function. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and timely close processes while guiding strategic financial insight across the business.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and stakeholder engagement, with a hands-on, practical approach in a Midlands-based hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Fully or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and statutory reporting experience is essential.
• Experience leading a finance team and managing multi-entity environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
• Support audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance.
• Maintain internal controls and reporting integrity across entities.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and drive process improvements.
• Mentor and develop the finance team and coordinate with external advisors.
