Job summary

A leading UK law firm is recruiting a Finance Systems Accountant to join its Finance Systems team. The role focuses on developing and digitising the finance function, enhancing systems, data and reporting capabilities across the business.

The ideal candidate will combine a solid accounting foundation with strong systems and analytical capability, and will work closely with Finance and Technology teams as well as stakeholders across the firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent.
• Experience in a finance systems, systems accounting or similar role.
• Experience with Aderant OR 3E, or previous experience in the legal sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using SQL to query, analyse and interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements across finance systems and processes.
• Lead and support system upgrades, enhancements and testing.
• Review processes to improve efficiency, data quality and controls.
• Support development of financial reports, dashboards and data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support digitisation and development of the finance function.
• Provide training and guidance on finance systems and processes.
