Job summary

Royal London, Alderley Park, seeks a Senior Finance Systems Accountant to own the AutoRek reconciliation tool, drive automation, and govern data integrity within Group Finance. You will lead continuous improvements and collaborate with stakeholders across finance and technology in a hybrid 50% home/office setup.

The role requires a qualified accountant with hands-on SQL/database experience, expertise in reconciliation software, and strong communication with senior management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong background in reconciliations and controls environments.
• Experience managing reconciliation software, preferably AutoRek.
• Hands-on SQL and database management.
• Ability to engage business and technical stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and data visualization.
• Experience with change control processes and SDLC (Waterfall/Agile).
• Experience implementing AI solutions would be a plus.
• Positive, collaborative, team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of the Group Finance AutoRek Reconciliation tool and ensure regulatory and internal reporting readiness.
• Define and implement Group Finance strategy for AutoRek adoption and automated data delivery.
• Lead strategic implementations, process improvements and system optimisation.
• Establish governance to ensure system and data integrity.
• Oversee day-to-day user enquiries and drive improvements.
• Report to senior management on tool performance and delivery of continuous improvement.
