Job summary

iMultiply Resourcing is seeking an interim Systems Accountant in Edinburgh for a 3-month fixed-term contract. Hybrid working and a salary of £54,000 - £58,000 are on offer.

You will bridge finance and IT, lead improvements to finance systems, develop dashboards, and provide accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. Applicants should be qualified accountants with ERP and data analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or nearing completion of a recognised professional qualification.
• Experience in Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, ERP, or Finance Transformation.
• Strong experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and budgeting processes.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and management information.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance systems improvements and identify opportunities for automation.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and implementation projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert for finance systems and reporting tools.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and management information.
• Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• Support user acceptance testing and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Deliver training and guidance to end users across the organisation.
• Promote best practice and support adoption of new systems and processes.
• Maintain strong governance, controls, and system documentation.
• Contribute to wider finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
