VodafoneThree in Newbury is hiring a qualified accountant to lead our finance function on audit, reporting and controls. This hybrid, full-time role supports end-to-end audit processes, statutory accounts, and Group reporting across entities, with a focus on accuracy, governance and timely delivery.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, apply IFRS/FRS 101 standards, strengthen financial controls (SOX), and drive transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and the employee

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with significant experience in audit, accounting advisory, or financial reporting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and FRS 101 reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and external advisors.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities across multiple teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying and supporting the resolution of accounting, reporting, and audit-related matters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end audit process from planning to completion, coordinating deliverables and resolving findings.
• Oversee statutory accounts for multiple entities under IFRS/FRS 101, ensuring compliant reporting.
• Review quarterly and annual Group reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Lead balance sheet review and monthly/quarterly reconciliations with governance.
• Promote strong controls and SOX compliance across Finance.
• Support strategic Finance initiatives and transformation projects.
