Job summary

Confidential in Tonbridge is seeking a Finance Assistant to join a growing finance team. The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per year, with opportunities to develop core accounting skills.

You will manage supplier invoices, maintain the purchase ledger, assist with month-end tasks, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and knowledge of VAT, with ACCA/CIMA/ACA study encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and purchase ledger management.
• Good understanding of VAT and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and financial reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 BC.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
• Act as key contact for supplier inquiries and reconcile discrepancies.
• Oversee supplier statement reconciliations and expense claims.
• Support month-end reporting and balance sheet schedules.
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation.
