Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its established Family team in Leicester. You will manage a varied private family caseload, advising on divorce, financial remedies and children matters.

The role offers a permanent, hybrid working arrangement with a market-leading salary and benefits. The successful candidate will have strong client care, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in family law.
• Strong knowledge of private family law matters, including financial remedies and private children proceedings.
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and empathetically.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively while meeting deadlines.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and an interest in contributing to business development and the wider success of the department.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private family matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Advising clients on divorce and separation, financial remedy proceedings and cohabitation disputes.
• Handling pre- and post-nuptial agreements, private children matters and domestic abuse applications.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing clear and practical legal advice throughout proceedings.
• Supporting business development initiatives and networking activities to develop new and existing client relationships.
• Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Family department.
