Job summary

The Hyde Group is seeking an External Affairs Officer to join our Communications team in London. The role combines in-office and remote work, envisaging two days in the office and three days remote, with a salary of up to £46,000 per year.

You will monitor political developments, translate complex policy into clear briefings, and support Hyde's engagement with government, regulators and external partners to ensure Hyde speaks with a strong, well-represented voice in the housing sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in public affairs, policy analysis or government relations.
• Ability to translate complex policy into clear briefings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience engaging with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor developments and provide clear briefings for senior leaders.
• Build relationships with government, MPs, councils and regulators.
• Coordinate responses to consultations and policy changes.
• Support Hyde's presence at political and housing events.
• Produce engaging content for internal and external audiences.
