Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Regulatory Programme Office specialist to support ESG reporting and evolving sustainability requirements. The role involves analyzing regulatory changes, shaping disclosures, and coordinating across global and European teams to convert complex requirements into actionable outcomes.

The successful candidate will contribute to governance, improve processes, and mentor junior colleagues while aligning with Vanguard’s sustainability strategy and operating model.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience in sustainability reporting or sustainability regulatory change within asset management or financial services.
• Experience analyzing complex requirements and translating them into clear business actions or reporting outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience managing workstreams, priorities, stakeholders and dependencies in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sustainability-related regulatory, industry and reporting requirements and assess implications for Vanguard’s business, products and disclosures.
• Contribute to the preparation, review and enhancement of sustainability disclosures and related materials, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Translate complex requirements into practical recommendations, documentation and concise executive communications.
• Partner with stakeholders across investment management, legal, compliance, risk, data, distribution, technology and operations.
• Facilitate workshops to define requirements, resolve issues and develop implementation solutions.
• Support governance and oversight, including documenting decisions, escalating risks and preparing materials for governance forums.
• Review ESG data, methodologies and supporting information to promote quality and transparency.
• Help develop scalable processes, governance arrangements and tech-enabled solutions for sustainability reporting and change delivery.
• Coach and support junior colleagues in business analysis, project delivery and sustainability reporting.
• Build understanding of Vanguard’s sustainability approach and industry context.
