Job summary

Gentoo Group Limited is recruiting an experienced Solutions Architect to join the IT Architecture team at our Doxford Park head office in Sunderland. The role focuses on designing and delivering solutions aligned with enterprise standards and evolving the architecture to its target state; it requires collaboration across product and system owners and a hybrid working pattern with on-site presence. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines.
• Experience creating architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
• Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives.
• Knowledge of agile principles and development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into architectural blueprints documenting designs.
• Work with product and system owners to secure an architectural runway.
• Define enterprise solution designs aligned with business goals.
• Monitor current portfolio for deficiencies and aging technologies.
• Guide governance and standards for solution architecture.
• Develop roadmaps for evolving the enterprise solution portfolio.
