Job summary

PTSG Group is seeking a Hybrid Testing & Remedial Electrician to join our Electrical Safety division in Reading. You will perform EICRs on commercial/industrial sites, identify faults, and deliver high-quality reports with clear remediation recommendations.

You will also undertake remedial work to meet BS7671, provide certificates and documentation, and conduct specialty inspections. A full UK driving licence and current 18th Edition qualification are essential.

Qualifications

Eligible to work as a fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3/AM2 or equivalent.
City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications.
Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial/industrial installations.
Identify faults, non-compliances and risks; produce reports with recommendations.
Complete remedial and rectification works to BS7671 standards.
Produce Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports and documentation.
Conduct specialist inspections and testing: emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys.
Work on-site with customers, representing PTSG to high standards.
Use modern testing equipment and reporting software for accurate results.
Stay up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice.
