Job summary

Holt Engineering in Dorset is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical design solutions across a diverse project portfolio, from concept through to implementation. Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of three years' post-qualification experience in electrical design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Producing conceptual and detailed electrical designs, installation drawings and design specifications.
• Generating operational documents and validation evidence for project delivery.
• Collaborating with other disciplines to integrate electrical systems.
• Ensuring designs meet safety, technical, quality and commercial requirements.
• Managing third‑party design providers and supporting installation teams.
• Leading design reviews and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
• Assisting with tenders, quotations and budgeting activities.
• Producing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and managing RFQs.
