Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an Early Help Coordinator (CDC) to drive the Early Help Strategy across the borough, embedding it with partner organisations. The role focuses on guiding practitioners, managing risk, and ensuring high-quality support for children, young people and families.

You will lead on training delivery, collaborate across services, and monitor performance to improve outcomes. Hybrid working is available, and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading on strategy implementation within multi-agency partnerships.
  • Ability to provide information, advice and guidance on strategies, policies and safeguarding.
  • Experience identifying and managing risk and referring to statutory social care when appropriate.
  • Ability to engage children, young people and families in the early help process and drive communication across partners.
  • Lead Practitioner experience or ability to take on a lead role.
  • Quality assure partnership work to meet needs and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on the implementation of the Early Help Strategy across the partnership.
  • Provide guidance on early help, safeguarding and thresholds.
  • Ensure practitioners and managers receive high-quality guidance on risk and referrals.
  • Engage families and professionals to influence positive change in a child’s journey.
  • Plan and deliver multi-agency training for Doncaster Safeguarding Children’s Board.
  • Collaborate with partners to monitor performance via data analysis and provide targeted support.
