Overview

Use your clinical experience to work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, to gain a clear understanding of how their challenges and the ways their disability affects them impacts their daily life. Working within an office style environment and at home, to complete detailed, meaningful and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face. Interpret medical evidence and gather your findings into a comprehensive report, to support the decision-making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments with individuals who have a broad range of health conditions, using telephone, video or face-to-face formats (office or home-based).
  • Interpret medical evidence and document findings in a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making (Health Assessment and Advisory Services, HAAS).
  • Assess claimants applying for Work Capability Assessment (WCA) and contribute to their management under the DWP framework.
  • Work autonomously and maintain professional clinical standards throughout assessments. Some assessments may be conducted remotely.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Qualified Nurses, Physiotherapists, Paramedics or Occupational Therapists are eligible for this vacancy.
  • NMC/HCPC registration is required.
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential.
  • Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and IT competency is a must-have.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £39,500 per annum.
