Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in Leeds is seeking a DevOps Engineer to drive design, development, and delivery of secure cloud-based solutions in a hybrid working environment. You will collaborate with security and operations teams to ensure resilience and performance.

The role involves building and supporting cloud and on‑premises workloads (AWS), using IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, mentoring engineers, and guiding release planning and incident management to minimise

Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Design, build and support cloud and on‑premises solutions across AWS and on‑prem environments.
Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Design secure, scalable technical solutions and translate designs into deliverables.
Plan deliverable releases and manage timelines across programs.
Review technical plans with architects and write implementation plans.
Lead incident resolution and perform root cause analysis.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with suppliers to minimise disruptions.
Ensure security compliance and effective integrations with other teams.
