Babcock is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to support and enhance the company’s data protection programme across the organisation. You will work with the Group Head of Data Protection and stakeholders to embed privacy by design and provide practical guidance ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The role offers hybrid working between onsite Bristol and home-based days, with opportunities for professional development in an international organisation.

Competenze

• Knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and core data protection principles.
• Experience in compliance, risk, legal, governance, information security, or data protection environments.
• Understanding of DPIAs, DSARs, Records of Processing, data retention, lawful basis, and data breaches.

Mansioni

• Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection requirements and best practices.
• Support data protection compliance activities aligned with UK legislation and internal policies.
• Assist with personal data risk management, including privacy assessments and governance processes.
• Deliver training and awareness initiatives to foster a culture of privacy.
• Monitor, report on, and support continuous improvement of data protection controls and processes.
