Job summary

Venesky-Brown's client in Glasgow is seeking a Data Analyst for an initial 6-month contract at £450/day (Inside IR35). The role is hybrid with around one day per week in Glasgow. You will lead data migration workstreams, plan data strategy, oversee data preparation and quality, and define integrations and reporting.

The project spans BI, governance, and SaaS transitions. Applicants should have strong data experience and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end data migration workstream within BI, DDaT, data governance and information governance standards, producing the project's data migration strategy and plan, mapping legacy data to SaaS solutions with cleansing, transformation and validation rules.
• Develop a plan for all areas of the data strategy aligned with project and implementation plans, tracking delivery and deviations from baselined plan.
• Establish an ownership model for data, lead targeted data cleansing and estimate size and resources required.
• Define future integration architecture with data owners and suppliers, ensuring documented data flows.
• Lead the MI and reporting strategy, translating business requirements into a robust Reporting/MI catalogue and self-service dashboards.
• Ensure Day One reporting is understood, built, tested and operational, engaging governance groups accordingly.
• Align data to support process redesign and automation across workflows, with governance compliance.
• Maintain risk, issues and dependencies for data elements and report to governance groups.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with DaTS, BI & Data, People, Finance, and external suppliers to sequence data activities.
• Work with Procurement to capture data requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Support business change readiness in relation to data quality and migration, including training and user adoption.
