Job summary

Venturi is hiring a hands-on Data Engineer to power a high-profile data modernisation programme in the UK. You will help build a modern data platform from the ground up using Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran, ingesting from Workday, Oracle Symphony and NetSuite.

You’ll join a collaborative team, report to a Senior Data Engineer, and contribute to CI/CD, testing, and data quality while working in a hybrid setup with three days in Manchester at Piccadilly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong SQL — able to write, debug and optimise non-trivial queries.
• Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake strongly preferred).
• Hands-on dbt experience (Core or Cloud).
• Proficient in Python for data transformation and scripting.
• Comfortable with Git and Agile delivery.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines in Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran, ingesting from SaaS sources such as Workday, Oracle Symphony and NetSuite.
• Write clean, well-tested SQL, Python and dbt code.
• Build dbt tests and data quality checks.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and peer code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and on-call rota.
• Document pipelines, datasets and design decisions clearly.
