Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority is seeking a Data Engineer at Gatwick with a hybrid working arrangement. You will source, access and manipulate data, build data products and integrate them into systems and business processes to inform strategic decisions.

Essential skills include data architecture, engineering and modelling, with experience in ETL, data management and Agile ways of working. Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx and DevOps tools is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in data architecture and engineering disciplines with delivery impact.
• Understanding of Master and Reference Data Management concepts.
• Ability to challenge data decisions with analytical thinking.
• Experience with end-to-end ETL and data platform management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to understand data sources and deliver models, extracts, and transformations.
• Work across BAU and project delivery to support programmes and data strategy.
• Design solutions and solicit stakeholder feedback for data decisions.
• Collect, cleanse and transform data to enable analytics and BI usage.
• Re-engineer data flows to connect operational systems for scalable use.
• Utilise tools for data manipulation, analysis, visualization and system integration.
• Develop reproducible analyses and robust code in line with standards.
• Deliver governed ETL processes and communicate outputs effectively.
