Job summary

AXA UK is seeking a Controls and Risk Framework Specialist to lead development and embedding of AXA Insurance’s control environment. You will report to the Head of Governance and Control and drive design, implementation and ongoing effectiveness of controls aligned with industry best practices.

You will lead refreshes of controls, RCSA programmes and develop high-quality risk reporting including dashboards and metrics to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience leading controls transformation in financial services or insurance.
• Deep understanding of control frameworks and optimisation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of FCA/PRA requirements relating to operational and insurance risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, embed and maintain controls aligned with the AXA Insurance Control Framework.
• Lead control refreshes, reviews and RCSA programmes.
• Develop risk and control reporting, dashboards and metrics for executive decision-making.
• Act as SME on controls, process optimisation and AI initiatives.
• Support KRIs and other tools to monitor risk exposure and control performance.
• Facilitate control workshops and drive continuous improvement across the business.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across Lines 1/2 and external partners.
• Deputise for Head of Governance and Control at key meetings.
