Job summary

AXA Insurance UK is seeking a Controls and Risk Framework Specialist to lead the development and embedding of AXA's control environment. Reporting to the Head of Governance and Control, you will design, implement and monitor controls to support proactive risk management and strategic objectives.

You will lead control-related refreshes, RCSA programmes, and develop high-quality risk reporting for the Insurance Executive Team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading controls transformation initiatives within financial services or insurance.
• Deep understanding of control frameworks, best practices, and optimisation including automation and AI.
• Strong knowledge of FCA/PRA requirements related to operational and insurance risks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
• Experience developing and analysing large data sets and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and embed controls aligned with AXA Insurance Framework.
• Lead control refreshes, reviews and annual RCSA programmes.
• Develop risk and control reporting, dashboards and metrics for executives.
• Advise on control design and effectiveness; drive automation and AI initiatives.
• Support KRIs and tools to monitor risk exposure and control performance.
• Facilitate control workshops and issue resolution across the business.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across lines 1 & 2 Risk and external partners.
• Deputise for Head of Governance and Control at key meetings.
