Charles Russell Speechlys in London seeks an experienced Contentious Construction Associate (2-4 PQE) to join the Construction, Engineering & Projects team. The role involves handling complex disputes, UK adjudications and TCC litigation with a strong client contact expectation.

A hybrid working model is offered, with substantial responsibility and a supportive team environment. Applicants should be England & Wales qualified with 2–4 years’ PQE and solid experience in contentious construction

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years’ PQE in contentious construction.
• Solid experience of contentious construction work.
• Experience in UK adjudications and/or TCC litigation related to fire safety or dispute avoidance/resolution.

Responsabilités

• Acting for a wide range of national and international clients on complex and high-value construction disputes, including UK adjudications, arbitrations and TCC litigation.
• Undertaking dispute advisory work including ADR (e.g., mediation).
• Dealing with matters such as final accounts, delay claims, and insurance-related claims.
• Advising government bodies, sponsors, developers and others on dispute avoidance and project procurement techniques.
• Working closely with clients to maintain and develop relationships and provide timely, quality advice.
• Collaborating as a team to execute large-scale client matters to a high standard.
• Drafting, negotiating and advising on construction contracts and related documents.
• Contributing to knowledge and know-how initiatives.
