Job summary

SONI in Belfast is seeking a Compliance & Audit Analyst to support SEMO's licence obligations and market audits. You will coordinate assessments, monitor risks, and provide reporting to guide decision-making across regulatory and electricity market activities.

The role offers hybrid work (3 days in the office, 2 at home) with travel to Dublin and collaboration with internal and external auditors. Applicants should have 3–5 years of compliance-related experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Understanding of compliance and audit principles.
• Experience interpreting regulatory, licence, contractual obligations.
• Experience coordinating audits, assessments, findings or remediation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience preparing reports for management decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain assessments of SEMO's licence, Trading and Settlement Code and Agreed Procedure obligations.
• Gather evidence, assess compliance and address issues with colleagues.
• Identify, monitor and report compliance risks, issues and non-compliance.
• Coordinate market audits, including planning and engagement with stakeholders.
• Track audit findings and actions, supporting remediation and closure.
• Prepare clear compliance, risk and performance reporting for senior management.
• Assist in regulatory and electricity market changes assessments and implementations.
• Contribute to SEMO's Compliance Maturity Model and improvement efforts.
• Embed regulatory requirements into processes and systems from the outset.
