Maldon District Council is seeking a Communications Officer for a full-time, hybrid role with a two-day-per-week office presence in Maldon. The role supports council services and campaigns through clear, accessible communications across channels.

Qualifications

• A-level or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in communications, marketing or engagement.
• Experience producing clear, engaging content for different audiences and channels.
• Experience supporting campaigns, events, promotions or customer and partner engagement.
• Working knowledge of digital communications, accessibility and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, accurate and accessible communications that support council services, projects and priorities.
• Support engagement, campaigns, events and promotional activity across appropriate channels.
• Handle press and communications enquiries promptly and consistently, in line with council standards.
• Manage allocated communications and marketing work to agreed priorities and deadlines.
