Job summary

The Third Age Trust - u3a is seeking a Communications Officer to join our Marketing team in a hybrid London role. You will craft engaging content for web, email, newsletters and social channels to raise awareness of u3a and support member communities.

Working with the Communications Manager and PR agency, you will translate research into clear messages, coordinate campaigns and deliver accessible publications that reflect our brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, content, marketing or research communications for diverse audiences.
• Ability to identify strong stories and turn them into content.
• Strong editorial judgement, writing, editing and proofreading with attention to detail.
• Translate complex research into clear, engaging communications.
• Digital content creation across web, email, newsletters, social media, reports or PR.
• Familiarity with CMS, email and social platforms; Adobe Creative Suite or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop written, visual and digital content for websites, emails, newsletters, social media and PR.
• Turn research and member activity into accessible communications for various audiences.
• Identify stories and support the Communications Manager with research-led content.
• Plan and deliver communications around research, impact and policy outputs.
• Produce monthly newsletters and other Trust communications; collaborate with the PR agency.
