Job summary

Serco Limited in London is seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to create engaging content, run campaigns, and build partnerships with charities and local groups. You will support public engagement across Lambeth and promote environmental services and apprenticeships while representing the organisation at events.

The role covers social media, campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement, with hybrid working 1–2 days in the office and a strong focus on delivering clear, accessible

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, marketing, public engagement, stakeholder management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and publish engaging content across social media and digital channels.
• Develop and deliver campaigns that support organisational priorities and community objectives.
• Build partnerships with charities, community groups, local organisations, and external stakeholders.
• Promote council services and initiatives including environmental services and apprenticeships.
• Plan, coordinate, and attend community events and public-facing initiatives as a representative of the organisation.
• Monitor campaign performance and use insights to improve future communications.
