Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to contribute to the Balance of Plant for the HPC project in the UK. You will develop test specifications, review contractor documentation, and execute site commissioning activities to ensure readiness for operation.

The role requires strong mechanical/process engineering knowledge, teamwork, and experience with safety and permit-to-work practices. This is a hybrid role with flexible working options in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and process systems.
• Proficient ICT skills: Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Review/Comment; Navisworks 3D.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Delivery-focused with safety/quality mindset.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and lock-out/tag-out is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning documentation and review contractor-produced documents.
• Contribute to detailed planning and take ownership of a programme of tests.
• Lead or participate in site commissioning activities with supervision of contractor personnel.
• Commissioning of HPC systems.
• Provide information to support readiness and contractual milestones.
