Job summary

Vet Direct, a division of CVS Group plc, is seeking a Commercial & Trading Analyst to support the Purchasing, Customer Care, Accounts & Marketing teams. The role focuses on analyzing sales, margin and profitability to identify growth and cost-improvement opportunities in our e-commerce portfolio of veterinary equipment, consumables, instruments and clothing.

The position is hybrid, on-site three days per week and remote two days.

• Experience in commercial and category analysis.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Effective negotiation skills with a willingness to drive down costs and improve efficiencies.
• Strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, margin, profitability, and revenue performance to provide commercial insights.
• Produce regular reports and conduct pricing, competitor, and supplier performance analysis.
• Support product launches, category reviews, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Champion CVS values, maintain a customer-focused approach, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Deliver clear, data-driven insights to drive commercial decisions.
