Pet Drugs Online, part of the inspiring vet care Group, is hiring a Buying Assistant to join the Category team. The role focuses on data-driven trading, product launches, and commercial planning within a growing online pet care business.

You’ll work with Category, Marketing, Supply Chain and Online Trading to deliver commercial plans and insights. We’re looking for an organised, commercially minded candidate with strong Excel skills and experience in retail or merchandising.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, FMCG, buying, merchandising or related environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office; ability to interpret data and draw insights.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build cross-team relationships.
• Commercial awareness and a solutions-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end product launch processes and ensure timely launches.
• Collaborate with Category, Marketing, Supply Chain and Online Trading to deliver plans.
• Analyze sales, stock, margin and category performance data for insights.
• Prepare weekly trading reports and support data-driven decision making.
• Manage promotional forecasts and communicate demand plans to stakeholders.
• Monitor competitor activity and pricing trends to spot opportunities.
• Support pricing maintenance and investigate invoice discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of trading processes.
