GBRX, the railway modernization arm, is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead post-contract commercial activities and support pre-contract efforts for medium-value and medium-risk projects. You will ensure cost efficiency, governance adherence, and provide commercial guidance across complex programmes.

You will bring experience from complex programmes and a strong grasp of governance and assurance controls for managing public money, both pre- and post-commercial management, in a hybrid

Formación

• Demonstrable experience in commercially managing investment projects.
• Strong knowledge of railway and construction industry contracts and best practices.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in managing contracts.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence contractor behaviour.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.

Responsabilidades

• Support the programme and project teams in monitoring compliance with GBRX corporate governance and rules.
• Manage cost reporting for allocated projects, including Cost Forecasting and Anticipated Final Cost.
• Monitor and report on all commercial aspects of projects, proposing mitigation actions for any issues.
• Influence decision-making from a commercial perspective and review contractor delivery.
• Manage the assessment and valuation of contractor applications and payment certifications.
• Provide advice on change management and produce documentation for approval.
• Produce payment applications/invoices and manage commercial risk and claims.
• Provide management information and analysis for informed decision-making.
• Ensure proper retention and archiving of commercial records and undertake final account settlements.
