Job summary

Spinwell Global is recruiting for a Commercial Manager for a public sector opportunity in London. The role is hybrid, with on-site requirements in North Greenwich on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and a broader remote capability on other days.

The contract runs until 18 December 2026 and falls Inside IR35. You will lead category strategies, manage supplier relationships, governance, and sourcing activities, while delivering value for money and ensuring contract delivery and performance improvement

Qualifications

• Public sector procurement experience and understanding of governance.
• Strong pre-contract procurement expertise (strategy, tendering, evaluation).
• Ability to draft governance papers and manage stakeholders.
• Ability to apply market knowledge creatively and work under demanding stakeholders.
• Collaborative and proactive approach; diversity and inclusion awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies and sourcing plans.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation.
• Manage contracts, supplier performance and realisation of benefits.
• Report progress, manage risk and drive value for money in contracts.
• Foster strategic relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities across the value chain.
• Lead a team and support responsible procurement best practice.
