Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Solicitor / Senior Associate for its Birmingham City Centre office with hybrid working. The role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 to £95,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will handle a broad mix of commercial disputes, advise on shareholder and director issues, and progress matters from instruction through to resolution.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with exposure to commercial litigation.
• Strong client-handling and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in managing disputes from instruction to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Commercial Litigation matters including contract disputes and business conflicts.
• Advise on shareholder, partnership and director disputes.
• Handle matters from instruction to resolution including litigation and ADR.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence and documentation across Commercial Litigation cases.
• Provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice to diverse clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Attend client meetings, negotiations and court hearings, with advocacy opportunities.
• Support business development and contribute to Birmingham team growth.
