Job summary

DWF is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join the Commercial team, advising clients on a broad range of commercial contracts. The role contributes to a global practice with emphasis on public sector procurement, AI, commodity contracting, and strategic partnerships.

Based in Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham with a hybrid working pattern. The successful candidate will have solid experience in commercial contracts, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a commercial mindset aligned to client

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts.
• Excellent drafting and written communication skills, with negotiation confidence.
• Commercially minded, able to understand clients’ business objectives and deliver value.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of commercial contracts including supply, services, technology and IP agreements.
• Support clients across public and private sectors including retail, manufacturing, technology, data, energy and the public sector.
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of complex contracts.
• Work directly with clients and contribute to long term client relationships.
• Assist with commercial contract due diligence as part of wider corporate transactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues nationally across DWF’s commercial and sector teams.
• Support business development initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high quality service delivery.
• Continuously develop technical and commercial knowledge through training and industry developments.
