Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a range of industrial projects in the UK. You will design, assess and inspect civil works, ensuring adherence to legislation and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE or actively working towards Chartered status.
• Full UK driving licence and relevant site safety certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings and technical reports for FEED, Detailed Design and construction projects.
• Undertake structural analysis and design using engineering software including STAAD.Pro, Tedds, AutoCAD, Navisworks and FEA packages.
• Produce and check engineering calculations, specifications, RAMS and construction documentation.
• Interpret site investigations, condition surveys and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections, responding to technical queries and reviewing reinforcement, fabrication drawings and lifting plans.
• Manage assigned work to agreed budgets, programmes and quality standards, identifying and reporting changes in project scope.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, company QA procedures and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintain effective communication with clients and contractors.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Support project planning, resource management, cost estimation and contractor bid evaluations where required.
