Job summary

Talent Drive | B Corp™ is seeking an experienced Category Manager to own Marketing & HR and related indirect spend within a leading public-sector organisation. The role focuses on developing category strategies, supplier management and delivering commercial value.

You will drive end-to-end procurement activities from market engagement to tender and contract award, support the re-tender of recruitment services, and work with stakeholders to ensure governance and cost savings across the function.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Category Manager / Senior Procurement Manager within the public sector.
• Strong experience across indirect procurement including Marketing, HR, Recruitment or Professional Services.
• Experience managing complex tenders and end-to-end procurement projects.
• Recruitment / temporary labour procurement experience is advantageous.
• Stakeholder management to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial and analytical capabilities.
• Understanding of public-sector procurement regulations and governance.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies across Marketing, HR and related indirect categories.
• Lead end-to-end procurement activity from market engagement to contract award.
• Lead the upcoming re-tender of recruitment services, including temporary recruitment.
• Support development of a brand marketing procurement framework.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive performance and value.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide expert advice.
• Identify cost savings, efficiencies and improved supplier performance.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with public-sector regulations and governance.
