Job summary

Ashdown Group are recruiting a C++ Software Engineer for a growing software solutions company in the Aviation and Military sector. Initially based at the South West London site with a move to a hybrid pattern (2/3 days in the office).

You will join a team of engineers delivering messaging products deployed in critical environments. The role focuses on adding features, debugging issues, working with servers and protocol bridges, and enhancing security.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial software development experience using C++.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies beneficial.
• Able to work with large codebases and complex systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Standards-based protocol implementation and networking knowledge.
• Security policy concepts such as PKI and TLS desirable.
• Self-motivated with initiative to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Add new features and extend capabilities in response to standards and client requirements.
• Debug client reported issues and improve code base and product delivery.
• Work with servers, gateways and protocol bridges.
• Improve security capabilities and system maintenance.
• Collaborate with the team to adopt newer programming languages.
