Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled BREEAM Assessor for a well-established building services design consultancy in the Northampton area. The role offers a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) and a salary of £30,000–£45,000 per annum depending on experience.

You will lead BREEAM assessments, coordinate with clients and design teams, prepare evidence, and drive sustainability outcomes across healthcare, education, residential, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience as a BREEAM Assessor.
• Proven track record delivering BREEAM assessments.
• Strong knowledge of BRE processes, evidence requirements and BREEAM criteria.
• Excellent communication skills; able to lead workshops and engage clients/stakeholders.
• Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver BREEAM assessments from inception to certification.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with BREEAM criteria.
• Collect, evaluate and manage evidence submissions for credits.
• Liaise with clients, architects and design teams; facilitate workshops and guidance.
• Manage submissions through BRE for certification; ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with energy modelling and building physics teams for integrated solutions.
