Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant in London/Manchester with hybrid work options. You will translate business questions into data products, design dashboards and validate data with stakeholders to drive marketing, ecommerce and business performance.

You will work across multiple data sources, lead discovery, and guide clients on best practices for data collection and visualisation while contributing to the growth of the BI team.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a data-related role (e.g. BI Consultant, Data Analyst, Data Specialist)
• Strong SQL expertise for data manipulation, transformation and data models
• Experience with one or more reporting tools: Power BI, Looker Studio, Looker, Tableau
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Python, R, SPSS)
• Understanding of marketing data, campaign performance, attribution
• Analytical, independent and proactive with strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with clients to understand their business model, stakeholders, KPIs and reporting needs
• Translate business questions into clear BI requirements, data models and dashboard concepts
• Design, prototype and build dashboards that serve management and specialist users, ensuring they are intuitive and actionable
• Set up, validate and maintain data integrations from multiple sources (e.g. marketing platforms, CRM, ecommerce, internal systems)
• Conduct audits of existing BI and reporting setups, assessing data quality, tooling, processes and data maturity
• Collaborate with client- and in-house teams to guide data collection, modelling and visualisation best practices
• Enable and onboard clients on dashboards and reports, ensuring adoption and use for decision making
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline recurring analyses
