Job summary

Oxford Brookes University is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst Developer to join the Internal Student Reporting & BI team. The role focuses on developing dashboards and reliable reports to help colleagues make informed decisions, primarily using Qlik Cloud and SQL.

You will cover the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, working in a hybrid environment on Headington Campus.

Qualifications

Experience developing dashboards and reports using Qlik or a comparable BI platform.
Strong SQL skills with relational databases and complex datasets.
Experience gathering requirements from users and translating business needs into practical reporting solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data investigation and validation.
Good communication and ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and BI reporting principles.

Responsibilities

Understand reporting requirements across the University and translate these into effective BI solutions.
Design, develop and maintain dashboards and data visualisations, primarily using Qlik Cloud.
Take responsibility for BI developments through requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
Use SQL and the University’s data warehouse to analyse, validate and prepare data for reporting.
Develop an understanding of University data and business processes to ensure reporting is accurate.
Collaborate with BI, data engineering, IT and colleagues to improve reporting services.
