Job summary

Gowling WLG in Birmingham is seeking a Business Development Executive on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the Clients & Markets team across FIS and CFT sectors. Based in Birmingham, you will work with the Senior BD Manager and Senior BD Executive, with occasional travel to London.

The role combines data management, administration and broader BD support, offering opportunities to contribute to projects and initiatives across the team while delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment with exposure to data management, reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
• Comfortable building relationships at all levels and supporting colleagues and wider team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Managing and updating deal databases and matter information.
• Maintaining InterAction/CRM records and contact data.
• Updating and maintaining business development materials, marketing collateral and client-facing content.
• Supporting client relationship mapping and account management activity.
• Updating and maintaining intranet content, internal communications and newsletters.
• Providing administrative support for business development initiatives, client growth programmes and new business opportunities.
